There are many surgical procedures used to correct the upper airway obstruction starting from the Nose to Larynx; nasal polypectomy, septoplasty, turbinoplasty, adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, palatal stiffening, pillar procedures, lingual tonsillectomy, base of tongue reduction, hyoid suspension, mandibular advancement, and even tracheostomy. No single procedure can solve the issue of OSA. A complex and combined procedures are necessary. Laser and Coblator are two good tools to achieve many of the above procedures.
